i changed my phone number, i'm moving in a few months, and soon you won't be able to get a hold of me even if you wanted to.

most of the time i am happy about this, but every once in a while i remember something--

last night i dreamed we were on my parents' back porch, in the summertime, a place you've never seen and never will. you kissed me and you tasted like cheap beer. i put my hand on your chest and i misquoted animal collective at you, paused, quoted it correctly. you smiled so kindly that i should have known right then i was dreaming.
