Last night, yobanashi mistakenly introduced me to the 2009 taiga drama, Tenchijin.

I am fairly sure she regretted it but, guys, this drama is amazing.

If only for Mitsunari.

IT IS. Oh man, SeraMyu. It's been so long. *___* The nostalgia! SO ADDICTIVE. Shirota was hands-down the best Tezuka.

I WATCHED LIKE, HALF OF THE SAILOR STARLIGHTS ONE AND MY BRAIN BROOOOKE. :'D SHIROTA WAS A PRETTY INCREDIBLE TEZUKA IN HIS SHINY GOLD CLOAK AND GOLD EDGED MASK;;;

I gave up on Shirota having any pride after his awkward 'kyu kyu kyu' song in one of the backstage movies xD and he seems to be addicted to camera's
Shirota's a great actor, but I don't think he made a real good Tezuka. I liked Minami better..

Aww, second gen is what I saw first, so Shirota's always been Tezuka to meeee! And his voice! IS SO NICE *____* I am shallow, he won me over in a heartbeat.

Sad! Taiga drama are prestigious~ He plays one of Japan's greatest warriors ;D

Shirota was the first Tezuka I saw too, first in the live action, then in DL 3. He used to be my favorite and I still like him as an actor. I just don't think of him as a very convincing Tezuka. the later generations were more true to his character

I have Tenchijin on my to-watch list as I'm going through quite a few historicals at the moment - Yoshitsune, Ryoma-den and Shinsengumi XD

Shirota's hairrrr LOLOL though admittedly there was one in an old photoshoot that looked even more creature like, this one if not so bad XD Everyone always looks funny in the historicals due to the hair XDD
