Thursday evening I was torn: the private view with the promised kick arse party to follow; or up to Stokie to catch a band that a friend is managing.  Being the greedy girl I am, I chose both; after all, the band weren’t on until ten and sometimes a bike can get a girl about town almost as fast as the magic carpet that I so often dream of.  ( Maybe I'm the wrong kind of crazy… )

I have a couple of half written posts on what I’ve been up to, and a post on non-consensual sex that’s about 90% written, but it’s stuck and just wont finish itself off; so what does a girl do under such circumstances?  She goes shopping…

It’s icy cold but there’s a beautiful blueness to the light on the open mountain top. I turn onto a steep slope that takes me down through the trees.  Little frozen polystyrene balls that are attempting to pass as snow sting my face and speed me through every turn. I’m off to a friend’s with a bottle of wine to watch The Apprentice, as another friend volunteered to be on the show. What the fuck? Who’d want to be on a reality TV show that’s some kind of shrine to the worst of capitalism? Ho hum; here’s hoping she manages to maintain some semblance of self-respect.

I’ve been rather neglecting my LJ and hardly getting round to commenting on any of your entries.
