the first time i gave blood i felt great. i even went to a job interview right after that.
but then the next time i gave blood, i was just sort of assuming i would feel the same way. so i was going to walk out of the place, and people started stopping me and asking me if i felt okay. it then occurred to me that i was pale in the face. and then i turned green. and then i fell over. and nurses helped me to a table with cookies and juice and i sat there until someone came to get me, because there was no way i could drive.
but yeah. it is pretty terrifying. i think it was one of the only times i felt really humanly vulnerable, not even being able to walk across the floor without just about fainting.
anyway. i still give blood. dont stop doing it! you're saving lives!
