Home from Gen-Con now. Much fun was had. Pictures are, as usual, forthcoming, along with the Comic-Con pictures I've been promising for weeks. -

This bizarre concept for a Disney game from Warren Spector* looks like it could easily be very awesome. I don't get why they keep call it "steampunk" though, instead of maybe "post-apocalyptic" or "childhood-memory-destroying." Nothing about it looks particularly steampunk to me aside from the gears and the terrifying mechanical creatures. Also ( Read more... ) -

Back home in Indiana now and mostly recovered. I had an awesome time. Comic Con itself was kind of a pain, but I saw lots of cool artists and I got to hang out with my friends, which was the important part ( Read more... ) -

ROFL.Yay Friday! I'm digging this whole "taking the weekend off" thing. I suppose I ought to spend this weekend painting, or at least getting ready for my journey out west. Gotta polish my cowboy hat and spurs so's I'll fit in out there. Might wanna dig out my surfboard, too, although the spurs tend to scuff it up, and my cowboy hat always ( Read more... ) -

Just got home from South Carolina about twenty minutes ago. I actually had a really nice time one I recovered from being sick. Got some pictures to post, too, so I'll prolly get around to that sometime this week.

Less ill now. Heading down to South Carolina to hang out with my grandparents for the Fourth. My birthday was pretty good, in that I could keep down some food and occasionally get up from the couch a little bit. I'll be back, um, next week sometime, I guess. Still not entirely clear on what's going on, but I'm at least 95% sure that I'm awake -

I have got to be the only person in the world who can lose a paintbrush while I'm painting with it.
Note to self: Pockets are not a good place for brushes, even if you do put them in wet-side up. -

I went to a concert tonight. Apparently, and this comes as something of a shock to me, there are places out there that are not the Lightning Food Mart or The Growth Center, and sometimes at these mysterious places they have events and happenings, the likes of which I normally only encounter in venues with "massively-multiplayer" in their ( Read more... )
