It's been two years today. I still miss you Amirah. You taught me to be proud of my singing ability and you made the world a better place every day. The world mourns the light it has lost. 

This is one of the reasons I love my birth professor so much - her choice of words. I'm studying/reviewing the information she posted online. Right now, it's the various stages of labor. So...blowing raspberries significantly relaxes the mouth, throat, and helps alleviate pain from menstrual cramps.

I honestly didn't realize a woman could have an orgasm during labor. Some of these women in the midwife book I'm reading right now describe them as "super orgasms" even.

How about the fact that epidermal anesthesia drives up the rates of c-section, vacuum extractor, and forceps births?

The moon has always been reminiscent of women, with the menstrual cycle being compared to the ebb and flow of the ocean, controlled by the moon's pull.  Holy crap in a barrel...I'm almost laughing due to how ridiculously crippled I feel right now. I can't freaking bend over. Well, I can bend a little, but mostly it's in the knees.
