Combination of 'the show is good' plus curiosity about how 'the other half' lives, I think...

Curiously, there was a 4chan related war regarding this where an admin decided to ban the account of anyone posting MLP related things. It backfired pretty badly - the justification was there were too many pony threads on 4chan. This was despite the fact there were just as many Batman threads - apparently it wasn't cool enough to like My Little Pony. The fans protested, 4chan became incapacitated, they gave up on the banning.

Something Awful banned a thread where people were talking about the show, because they didn't want to police a thread where people were talking about enjoying a show aimed at girls. This didn't happen for threads like the Clone Wars though...

The internet sure seems to have a bit of a cringe about it in certain areas.

I've been really enjoying the new GI Joe Renegades and the Transformers reboot.

Actual character development and stuff, it's crazy!

Some of the reboots seem to be good this time around...I wasn't aware they were allowed to do that!

Me either! I thought they had to be done by brain damaged monkeys hammering on keyboards and involve people who looked like they were 10 seconds away from 'roid rage.
