Here's to my Mom.....she would be 97 years old on November 19th.  I miss her.  She died at 79 from lung cancer.  She had great genes and probably could have lived into her nineties had she not been a smoker. She overcame so many 
obstacles in her life. She was orphaned at 5 years old, lost her whole family to the Spanish flu epidemic.  Mom was ( Read more... )

What a treat it is too see all these on my daily walk.  We are starting to pack for home and are getting anxious to be on the road.  Think we might go up through Salt Lake City this time for a change of scenery.

It's crazy I know, but I couldn't help noticing that people here seem to be obsessed with decorating their driveways.  Maybe it is just a phenomena in Sun City West.  This can't be cheap and I wonder if these folks just don't have anything else to spend their money on?  And of course you have to have a good contrasting color for the rocks or gravel ( Read more... )

Well, we made it through Christmas. It is lonely being away from family and friends for the holidays. We met a nice couple at the UU Christmas dinner and they invited us to a New Years Eve party.
