Secondlife is run by a company called Linden Labs. They've gone from a one building show, to running server farms etc in several major cities. They're still nowhere close to Blizzard in success. Not even Habo Hotel in success

In my mind's eye, I sort-of see the true begin of the downfall in Secondlife to be just about the same time that there was so many issues with the 'ownership' of virtual property. It seems to me that when all the people pulled out over that the entire community began to crumble, and now it's to the point where nearly 90% of the attractions that existed back during that time have completely disappeared, absorbed to time.
It's really sad, because I log onto SL now and then and all the places that I had such fond 'memories' of are just... gone. :/
