1st glove done!
I finished the first glove today, and it looks AWESOME!!! XDD Once I finished sewing the halves together, I hot glued claws to the fingers of a foam cutout of my hand, and carefully turned the glove right-side out over the foam. Adding the foam completely solved the bagginess, and eliminated the floppy claw issue I was having with the prototype ( Read more... ) -

^Taken with my laptop's webcam. These are the plastic eagle claws on my glove prototype. The real glove will not be made of craptacular orange linen, nor will the claws be held on with duct tape. ;p -

Added a carboard frame to reinforce the horns, and added a teeny bit more foam today. I'm beginning to reach the limit of what I can do without the fur. Hopefully I can get to the fabric store this weekend ( Read more... ) -

Easter update
Purple Peeps are made of sugar-coated awesome.
This chicken wire head is just about the coolest thing I've ever made. And one of the most fun! It's like...duct tape decoupage. XDD
The tape will weigh the head down more than I thought, but it would be too flimsy without it. I can live with a heavy head. -
