On family, most likely filled with cloying moments and aphorisms, but no less truthful for all that.

it's Tuesday, which is my birthday of course, and also Deadliest Catch day-- an added bonus. One of the few television shows I follow. One of the few shows that are worth following, really. I fangirl over this show ( Read more... )

with you two as parents, I don't see how he could miss such important lessons. The lifestyle that you and Brad provide for him may be idyllic by comparison, but at the end of the day you're still Brad and Trina, and --both together and separately-- you've each weathered enough to know how to appreciate what you have.

No; I just wrote it last night actually. Had to pause Deadliest Catch and jot it down since it was too late to call my parents. Usually stuff like this goes in my offline journal, but I couldn't seem to find it.

I haven't a clue where to think about publishing it, honestly. I follow fiction markets more closely than creative nonfic magazines.

Thank you for the compliments. Especially pertinent coming from a fellow English major :)

Go English majors!

I was very moved by it. A friend of mine pointed this site out to me earlier, and I think you'd also like it.
