Damien looks at him for a moment, surprised by the turn of the conversation, but not closing his mind to it.

"Aye, I have...heard of such things, although we didn't study them in medical school," he said carefully. "And also in the Church, they speak of such things. Miracles - the good ones, or possessions - the bad. Are you saying that you...sensed something from the wee babes that the instruments did not pick up?"

His voice is tense, but not condemning. He sounds basically like he just wants more information before forming an opinion on the matter.

Muraki takes off his eyeglasses, baring his soul, as it were. "For now, it's hard to tell: I can sense the ...spirits of the children, and one is hard for me to put a name to it," he says. "It could be the child of an angel or of a demon. It's hard for me to put a name to it, for now: there's a kind of interference from their mother's spirit, which makes a clean read difficult."
