NaNoWriMo - 50,000 and counting
Honestly, although I'd set a goal of 75,000 I didn't expect to hit 50,000 by the 11th! I do feel both triumphant and a sense of relief, even though the story still requires a lot of work ( Read more... ) -
NoNoWriMo - Day 9
So, I'm a little over 42,000 on Day Nine and I may do a little more before I go to bed. The problem hasn't been the going, it's the stopping and I've had to make myself take breaks, eat food, walk around, read a little of one book or another because otherwise I'd just write until I feel right off my chair into a stupor or a coma. Over 9000 words and it's only Day Two! I feel both glad and a little nervous, but I'm so excited about this story and these characters so maybe it's okay? Yes, I've signed up for the 'write 50,000 in 30 days' challenge of National Novel Writing Month' for the first time although (writer) buddies and I have talked about it for years (and at least one of my friends has at least tried it). Thoughts on wheels
Yesterday marked the fourth anniversary of my husband's death. Four years. And it wasn't even raining...
So, I leave at 8:00 a.m. to get to my job by 9:00 a.m., although it usually only takes 45 minutes (a relative 'only' - yes) if there's nothing going on on IH-35 which is prone to accidents and construction pitfalls as well as the usual jams and delays.
