And a happy new year. /sarcasm

I can't post about this yet on Facebook (so please don't mention it there) because I have a few day care parents (and some of my relatives) on that f-list, but I had to post somewhere.

I'm about to be jobless. I'm kinda seething. )

Man oh man, I sure as hell hope you at least told her how fucked up that is.

Thank god you are a well trained nanny so you have mad skills. There are lots of openings for teachers for youngin's and nanny-type people here, if you check on Craigslist.

Good luck on things suddenly going your way and this all happening for a reason, sweetie. :)

I told her nothing. I've been seething privately and here, but I haven't said a word to her. It wouldn't do any good, she's got to be one of the most selfish people I've ever met. She doesn't see how anything she does impacts others, it seems.

Thank you. I keep telling myself that this must be the universe clearing the way for something awesome. It's how I keep from killing people.

asstastic. my new favorite word. Sorry that so far nothing else great has come from this. I will do a little "rain-dance of hope" and pray it rains options.

Yeah. That was me for a bit. Now I'm just being overly cooperative while I'm there and trying not to shove my foot up her ass. =) It's a beautiful day here in Repressionland!

If it comes to it, you have many many friends down here in CA. I would encourage you to look for work here, and you can stay gratis (or at least cheap) with myself and other friends until this resolves itself.

I was born and raised in Portland, and one of the reasons I never went back after college, is that the job market up there SUCKS!. Don't get me wrong Id move back there in a heartbeat, if I could find a decent job. Its hard up there.

Heck pretend your an illegal immigrant, come work down here, live cheaply, and send money back home.

Thank you, that means a lot to me. *hugs*

The job market up here does, indeed, suck! I keep thinking how nice it would be to have some kind of telecommuting job so I wasn't dependent on the local market, but could enjoy living here.
