I seem to be asked to work around everyone's schedule of late but no one really asks about my own, not that I have much going on and that certainly could play into it, but I try to go out and do things but no

What happened to the new friend you went on a date with? I know it's not worth anything, but I do understand where you are coming from. All the friends I had here in New Jersey moved away back in the 1980's and 1990's. It seems to be an unspoken rule that if you're not married with kids by age thirty-five, you're almost destined to a life of loneliness and boredom because everyone else seems to be and has no time for socializing. I suppose there are answers out there, I just don't know where to look anymore for them. *Hugs*

After the last date he admitted he didn't want a relationship, too much going on in his life. Left a voicemail and text two weeks ago never got a response, which hasn't help the feeling of isolation and being unwanted.

This is just my opinion: he just didn't have the intestinal fortitude to tell you to your face that he wasn't interested in you. Honesty seems to be a severely lacking characteristic in today's society. If he wasn't looking for a relationship, then why even go on a date with someone? Oh, that's right, they hope to get a little piece of action with the hopes of having yet another "friend with benefits". You deserve a lot better than what you've been getting. I am sorry for what you've been going through. *Hugs*
