Кто мне объяснит, что за компания такая Funtik Entertainment? И какого хера она блокирует акки на тюбике со старыми советским мультиками и фильмами? За последнюю неделю у меня исчезло туева хуча всякого добра. Зла не хватает. Я не против соблюдения авторских прав, но тюбик - это огромная рекламная площадка. Человек, посмотрев в маленьком окошке

Funtik entertainment is a company that protects intellectual property law in the Russian Federation. I know many writers, animators and famous cartoon writers from the Soviet era that now live penniless in Russia because they receive little to no money from their previous work. "Funtik Entertainment" is a company that allows these artist to make money of of their intellectual property by blocking illegal distribution of their cartoons, toys, books etc...and in turn creating legal and profitable distribution of their creations. In a country like the United States huge companies like Disney don't need to remove their content from youtube because they are actively protected by intellectual property laws and copyright law, in Russia where piracy is very developed and socially acceptable companies like Funtik entertainment are forced to take drastic measures to make ends meat for them and the artists they work for. Also i will have you know Disney sues kinder gardens when they use their stickers in the windows without permission, funtik

Funtik entertainment takes care of the fees not the authors of these cartoons, but only about own money. Youtube is not piracy, it is an advertisement only. People're watching some clips, they like them and they start buying these things. I began to watch performances of Frank Sinatra on the Youtube and I enjoyed it so much that I began to buy DVD with his movies, performances, and books about him. For example WMG prohibits to upload some clips from rare movies and performances of Sinatra. WMG cuts the audio track from clips. Voiceless Voice is a disaster. And nobody knows about his work. It hurts Sinatra’s popularity not the royalty of Sinatra family. Also Funtik entertainment harms the popularity of Soviet cartoons and their authors as well. The creators still do not get anything.

Ukraine, for once, is doing something better than Russia.

Check it out: the vast catalogue of Kievnauchfilm (Ukranimafilm) is being legally uploaded to Youtube by the Agency of Internet Rights, free for anyone to watch:

This copyright agency finds this profitable because an ad plays before every film. If Funtik wanted to, they could have used Youtube's ContentID system not to delete films, but to add advertisements to them... just like on TV.

So... let me just quote a portion of my entry, on the off-chance that Mr. David Silvester knows someone at Funtik and will pass on the message:

Interesting message. Do you personally know the people who work at Funtik? If this is the company that officially works on behalf of Soyuzmultfilm, it is unusual that there is absolutely no information about this online. In fact, I rather thought that this was the job of ФГУП «Объединенная государственная киноколлекция», formerly ФГУП «Фильмофонд киностудии “Союзмультфильм”».
