One hobble forward, Two hobbles back

So while yesterday went very well, today was pretty rough for my leg. The family + Matt went to move my sis to Philly today. My leg was NOT happy about its positioning and lack of icing throughout the day and started to swell up quite angrily. Thus, I have lost a little mobility. I wonder if stem cells will ever allow us to grow new ACLs or to heal injured ones?

I was just having this conversation with my mom. I bet stem cells would let us grow new ACLs, since stem cells can be anything they want to be--with the proper training! The question is the strength of the ACL's, I think. For instance, my "new" ACL could be cadaver tissue, but apparently said tissue is weaker than my own tissue, and stretches out/weakens over time. Maybe there is something about in-living-body incubation that makes our own tissue super awesome. Who knows!
