this is all things wrong

I love to buy pretty shoes. It's sadly stereotypical but whatever. I don't care. At a moment in my life, there were three shoes I would never buy no matter how frickin' comfortable they are. And I apologize for those that do own a pair and love them but I can be pretty vain sometimes. Uggs, Birkenstocks and Crocs. I think they are just plain ugly ( Read more... )

If she's not taken the time to register, do the simplest thing and get her a Visa gift card. Then she can just buy what she wants.

BTW, Uggs may not be attractive (to each their own anyway) but if you're in a foot of snow and it's ten below zero, they're very, very handy.

She actually didn't register any where because she is not expecting to receive gifts. I asked her what she would like but she said "nothing". She suggested I could donate to her church but I don't like donating to religious organizations.

I no longer live in a world of snow and people here wear them. I don't know why. When I did live in snow, I just wore pretty boots.

I think I just live in a warm climate area now. I just wear boots for fashion purposes. I don't understand some people who wear Uggs with stuff like shorts?

I was never a fan of Uggs but i'm a total convert now because it gets sooo cold here in winter they are a lifesaver. Yeah no not with shorts. That's so Pam Anderson it's disgusting.

They also come in other colors and according to their official site, you can wear them with short dresses and look all "Gossip Girl". Umm..no.

Why would anyone think those make them look good??

Those are the kind of flipflops I'd only wear to go to the beach, or as "shower shoes" in dorms at college. And the less said about the sock bit, the better ;)

I went to the website - not ALL their stuff is ugly. Very casual, but they'd fit well if you were in Florida, or someplace like that.

Well you could donate something like a goat or a cow to an underprivileged person in Africa through Oxfam. I'm considering giving this to my niece. She is getting married in October and with the wedding invite was some strange poem about a wishing well wedding. Had not a clue what she was going on about (I haven't gone to too many weddings recently)and thought this is what she meant, that I should donate money on her behalf for such a gift. Good thing that I asked someone at work what a 'wishing well' meant and she told me it was a polite way for asking for money rather than 'things'. As they both live in Queensland and are getting married in Victoria and flying off to Europe for the honeymoon the day after the wedding I could see their point and as they both own their own homes, they don't need any more stuff. When I accepted the invitation I told her that what I originally intended to give her she said that that was fine and encouraged me to do so ( ... )

That's a good idea. I will think about that. Thanks. :)
