this is all things wrong

I love to buy pretty shoes. It's sadly stereotypical but whatever. I don't care. At a moment in my life, there were three shoes I would never buy no matter how frickin' comfortable they are. And I apologize for those that do own a pair and love them but I can be pretty vain sometimes. Uggs, Birkenstocks and Crocs. I think they are just plain ugly ( Read more... )

I'm more and more convinced that people in the fashion industry are just having contests of "What ugly and unpractical piece of clothing could we invent now? And will there be a time when people actually look before adopting a trend?"

So far though, it always worked.

I don't have the time to list all the trends I found ridiculous and ugly, and it would probably turn offensive as quite a few are fashionista trends...

We can always thank Karl Langerfield for a lot of the really ugly and unpractical fashion trends he's started. I still can get over that he is selling overpriced Chanel transfer tattoos. I thought no one in their right mind would buy them, but a few weeks ago, I met a girl who had one of them on. I was WHY?

I actually have no idea. I haven't seen in her 10 years and aren't as close as we once were since we both changed so much. Her being religious and me ... well .. not. But I think she is pretty devoted to her church as she quit her job as a physiotherapist to play the church piano and sing in the church choir.

The boy suggested I get her a bible, but I have a feeling she may be getting a lot of those for the wedding as I found out via her Facebook (that I forced her to get) that many of her current friends are all church people.

The only other thing I can think is some kitchen/cooking item. Maybe a nice piece of pottery, like a soup terrine or nice serving bowls? If she's gone all religious, she's probably into the homemaking thing, etc.

Other than that, the charity idea is nice.

I own Uggs and have fake crocs that I use as in-house slippers. But I draw a line somewhere and that line is tube flops. I mean, WHY??
