This is why not having a family is so much easier :/

I know we're not hugely close, but if you need to chat, I'm here; if you need film nights with junk food or something, that too can be arrange :)

Hey Matto you did great by standing up to your rents, end of the day its your life and your the one the needs to live it and you know what's best for you!

Its really great that you seem a lot happier and yay for the manager appraisal, I think your parents should acknowledge you've come a long way not only with the help of your mates but by yourself too!

remember you cant pick your family... but you can pick your mates..

Thanks Em-bean, your advice has helped a lot. I think at times like these its my friends that have helped me most of all in my life, you're all very important to me :)

it is very hard trying to keep parents happy, but they should also realise that you have got and made your life down here, and they should be happy and support you etc - my parents rarely come down, as they don't like the rats - but hey, i'm not going to change just cos they don't like - be yourself and like yourself, cos you have got lots of friends down her in the south, that would miss you should you leave - and besides, you really don't want to end up a mummy's boy, do yo?
