 I just had the most BEAUTIFUL revelation!

One, I realized that God is not my father! I mean, he is my Father, but he isn't my dad. He's somebody else! Somebody I don't have to have all these unrealized feelings about, all this pent-up anger and hurt. God is somebody else! Somebody I get to figure out from scratch!

 I did all the final messy breaking away today, breaking away for the first time from one person and nineteen years. Now twenty. Going to England in ten days. Growing up and on the verge of growing wide.

This, it feels like, is a goodbye it took me all summer to say.

 Jesse called me today just to check in.

I'm nearing the end of my second year; soon I'll be halfway through college. A strange thought.

I haven't had much to say - it's all that finishing kind of stuff right now: job applications, forms, deposits, checks, registration, visa information, final papers, catching up on reading, stuff like that.

I have a second piercing in my left lobe. I'm working my way up to the lip ring. Also, new hair. People call it my rocker do, my friend says I've funkified. That's not how I saw it.
