Lovely! And very topical (at least over here). I think you showed that difference that adults and kids feel about carrying a knife very effectively - we can see how it doesn't help - and kids look on it so differently, and who can blame them really, when they are in the situations some find themselves in? Aside from the knife issue - this had a wonderful season one feel to it - I particularly liked the Ryan's reaction to Kirsten's naivety - that hint of teen insolence that was sadly missing between the Cohens later in the show.

So good. This would have made a fantastic episode for Season 1; I always wished we had had more scenes of the Cohens dealing with Ryan's past.
