the news

Well, the doc pretty much confirmed what everyone already suspected. I have to eventually have one more test to make sure, but it looks like my galbladder is done for. Which means I'll prolly end up having surgery sometime before the summer is over. >< And until then, I get to live on "bland" food. *sigh* The good news? I've lost 9lbs since ( Read more... )

Aw, babe, I'm sorry. Let me know when the surgery is once it's scheduled, IF it has to be. *hugs*

:( Stacey surgery??? Well, gallbladder surgery is minor though, right? Please let us know when its going to be...I wanna come! With a giant stuffed squirrel. And a flower. And a balloon. I promise, there will be balloons. :)

lol, it's not even an overnight stay, so yeah, it's pretty minor, but still. I hate the very idea. It runs in the family, though, so I guess I should have seen it coming. Mom had hers out some time ago. I'll be fine. I'll let ya' know for sure when anything happens, though.

Are they actually taking it out? My grandfather had galbladder surgury a long time ago, and it's relatively uninvasive. And that was a long time ago, so I'm sure it's even easier now.

I'm really sorry about all this. *hugs* I miss youuuu!

I miss you too!! I wanna' seen you and Em, but with work and what not, I don't know when that'd be possible. I hope we all find a place together. I can't imagine anything more fun that livin' with you guys! The surgery shouldn't be bad. It's not even an overnight stay, so I should be fine. They have to do one more test to make sure, but most likely I'll have it out eventually.

Do you get a new one? I mean...do you not need that?

Now see, you must think the way I do, because I don't understand it at all, either. I don't get a new one, so I have no idea how my body is supposed to function normally, but supposedly it does. So a baddly or partially functioning galbladder is worse than no galbladder. I just don't get it.

Maybe I should go on the bland food diet too! he he Sorry to hear it wasn't something else but I do hear galbladder surgery is pretty easy so I'm sure you'll be fine. :)

lol, I call it the bread and water diet, because those are what I'm CERTAIN won't hurt me. We've narrowed it down to prety much just the greasy stuff, and fatty foods, but that's still most of my normal eating routine! I'm eating a lot of boiled chicken and deli sandwiches (easy or no mayo) right now, so it's not all bad. Just nothing exciting. The surgery isn't a big one, so I should be ok. Just runs in the family, and I guess there are worse things that could be genetic, so I won't complain too much! :)
