I can hardly imagine how tough that was to go through. I'm so glad you got your child (and then children), even with such a challenging start.

It was difficult but, at the same time, I ..feel guilty in a way complaining about it. There are harder struggles in the world but somehow the ones that are "ours" seem worst at the time don't they?

I appreciate your kind comment!

Trouble conceiving is very common but honestly, for some reason, I had never thought it might be me. I guess because I had 6 siblings, I just assumed, when I wanted a child, one would come.

I learned a lot though.

I'm really glad to hear your mom and sister still were able to have children!

That's how my life was before Wngaged College Kid. Everyone was having kids except for me. I felt so left out. Great story. AW

It's odd. I did want my kids because I loved them, not just to "be like everyone else" but yes, the reality of ALL (it seemed) of my friends becoming pregnant, whether they "wanted to" or not was so difficult.

I was constantly hearing, "Guess what? I'm expecting!" and being told, "You'll probably be next."

I'm really glad you finally got your girls:)

I wrote about conceiving this week as well - but my situation was much more like your brothers - unplanned, getting a masters degree, married for three months...at the time I was so scared, and it took a while for me to recognize what a blessing it actually was that it was so easy for me to have a baby. You tell that other side of the story.

I am SO glad that everything worked out for you in the end. Our children are our greatest gifts :)

My 3 ARE wonderful gifts:)

And yes, parenthood..either way, I'm sure it is difficult and kind of unexpected. Most of us (maybe) think that we will have kids when we plan to have kids..so getting pregnant "too" quick or struggling..both situations are not easy and take some adjustment.

Did you go on to get your Masters? I'm still working on my Bachelors, even now in fact. My last final for this semester is Dec 12th. Busy, busy!
