Tonight's dinner was also eaten with great excitement and fury . . . Here's Kiko's menu:

1/3 cup l/d food
1/2 - 1 oz. canned salmon
2 spoonfuls of plain lowfat yogurt

Today was a good day . . . I didn't even have to use my a.k.

The last two days Kiko seems to feel better around dinner time. This morning he wouldn't eat cottage cheese or broccoli or his l/d food. Tonight he ate all three of them for dinner . . . Sam and I have had a rough couple of weeks with our two pugs. Mr. Bentley has slipped a disc again in his back, and is now on steroid treatment and strict rest in his crate for six weeks. So Sam and I went to the Pitchfork Music Festival in Chicago two weekends ago and it was really something! Well tonight I locked myself in my office and could not get out for about an hour or so. Yes, that's right. Apparently my office used to be a child's bedroom and so the lock was put on the outside of the door. I didn't realize this when I closed the door to keep my cat out while I worked. Wow. What a couple of days. It's been quite an experience at the University of Illinois Vet Hospital. Long story short, after a bad experience with a first doctor, the second doctor correctly diagnosed Bentley's slipped disk and he also has an ulcer in his eye.
