Things that go BOOOM in the night!

I really wish I'd videoed it...

We were in bed. Connie was actually asleep, I could hear her snoring. I was probably asleep too, because I know I was dozing off.

Then suddenly:

BOOOOOOOM!

We both woke up, of course. I said "What the fuck was that?" and jumped up to look out the window, in time to hear another, lesser explosion, more a BANG or a ( Read more... )

fire, explosion, police

Sounds like a much smaller scale of the explosion we had here last week. A gas line blew and destroyed or damaged a number of houses. Scary stuff.

Yeah. Pretty horrible from the coverage. They are just now letting some people back to their homes.

Well, Mrs. Leeds had warned Mr. Oliver that if he ever parked his car there again he'd be sorry...

Totally kidding of course. What a scary way to wake up. Glad there was no serious damage - beyond the car of course.

BWAHAHAHAAAAA :D

Actually, it wasn't all that scary, once we knew what it was... It was pretty exciting, but it was also slightly annoying.

Did I ever tell you about the time when the kids and I were in the front yard and we hear tires screeeeech and then bing bang BOOM!! This car speeds across the street to hit another car, the car causing the accident ended up on its roof. About 2 minutes later the driver gets out of the car (A girl about 18 yrs old) who takes off running to her house to get her boyfriend so he can say HE was driving...she didn't have a license or insurance....needless to say...a little birdie told the wonderful paramedics and cops what actually happened...HEY I had a yard full of kids who saw it all!! Ya...she was kinda picked up then...and so was he!

So...I may have missed it...let me re`read....no one was hurt??

PS...you can stop fainting now Simon! LOL

We suspect that either it was faulty wiring in the car causing a short that set light to it, or that there's some bastard going around setting light to cars at random.

There was no ambulance so we assume there was no-one in the car at the time.

*grins*

Nice to be chatting to you again, Katie honey. *hugs*

PS - Yours was much more dramatic!

Nice to be chatted with ;)

Did you faint again? LOL That's our new phrase around here, when I do something unexpected or if Bobbie finishes her lunch or Brandon does his homework without a fight "Did ya faint" and then we all fall down and faint....LOL....it's a silly bunch around here
