It's a great print and that frame is perfect for it. It looks like something from the 18th or 19th century, so I was surprised that it's more modern. I'll have to keep an eye out for more of her work.
Supposedly there are numerous cat portraits out there by her. She painted them for friends. My print is very large, like 2 feet tall, not including the frame. It used to be in a plain pine frame. I wish my guys grannie was still alive so I could ask her where she bought it, or hear what she had to say about it. I can still see it clearly in her pretty pink bedroom...I guess one day this will belong to someone else too when I'm gone. Strange thinking of antiques that way! Ok now I'm giving myself the creepy winter blahs!

Hello! What a surprise to find your blog and comments about Margaret McDonald Phillips! I have this print *and* a second one that is a portrait of a Siamese cat that is sitting in front of a female figure who is wearing a red tunic of sorts and there is a small green powder jar (?) in the foreground. I would be happy to share a picture of it with you. Dale in Ferndale MI
