Hi Debra, It's a nice print and someone will buy it for sure, but I'm looking for the original paintings. Have you tryed eBay? You could search to see if you find how much they are selling for and then decide how to list yours. Good luck on that.

I have the siamese cat print. There is an artical taped to back of the frame dated 10-7-1954 regarding (with picture) of Ms. philips portrait of Mme. Vijaya Lakshmi Pandit. I would love more info regarding this siamese print. And any interest someone may have for it.

Thanks for posting about this artist and your Siamese print There is not enough about her on the internet. Very little about her cat portraits. Hopefully any one with information will find this blog post on her share info with all of us! Thanks for your comment!

Masonite is really hard like wood. Cardboard that mine is printed on is just stiff paper that is like 1/8 inch think. It's easy to tell the difference, cause masonite will not crumble and bend. Artists often paint on masonite.
i have the original siamse cat painting , with brown paper on the back from the brooklyn gallery , have been trying to research for years , on and off. i bought it at a flea market, not in the gold frame was in a different frame.
Wow that's wonderful find! Are you saying it is an original print or the actual art the print was made from? I love hearing that the originals are out there being enjoyed. This artist- Margaret McDonald Phillips should be better documented on the internet. I'd love to see more of her cat portraits.
i do believe it may be the original, as it has yellowed with age, it is painted on a cardboard advertisement.the finish is rough to the touch, it looks real enough to me,like the old masters paintings age and yellow. i have tried to find out more, no galleries in my area to have it looked at by a professional. i love the painting it has hung in my bedroom since the 70's i am so glad to find out it he has a name he is so regal looking! paintgirl25@hotmail.com
I just bought one at a garage sale fkr$20.00..love it!! I just happened upon it, fell in love with the " oddity".; Vickie Troxel Texas Vickiet@ academic planet.com
