"I found this lovely tiny park over 10 years ago whilst getting lost coming out of the Museum of London...the tiles were so haunting and there was a small alcove with a black sculpted head saying this memorial was made by G.F. Watts..."

Those memorial plates are remarkable- certainly beat the bland new ones. And an old school typewriter has infinitely more charm than a keyboard, so I understand your friends reluctance to modernise- but I have to agree she owes it to the rest of us!
