I just got through watching Nova (a show on PBS), which usually seems to drag on way too long. The episode today, however, was really interesting. There was one part in it I especially liked that talked about these frogs that literally freeze themselves in the winter and thaw in the spring. Ack, while out running around with asians tonight, I had a little car trouble. My tire blew out on 290! It's a good thing there was no traffic (it was late, you see) and it didn't make me lose control of my car. I don't know what happened.. I watched my grandmother die around noon Monday. It's probably one of the worst things I've ever experienced. She wasn't able to talk because she had a bipap thing on her face (forcing oxygen into her lungs), but I'm pretty sure she knew we were there with her. just got home from the ranch.. not quite tired yet. We found out that it's not being sold anymore; my grandmother had put it up for sale (because 1, she's too old to be taking care of it and nobody else can/will, and 2, pretty much everybody in the family except my dad wants to sell it.. My mom called an ambulance on Sunday afternoon to come get my dad since he was having a really hard time breathing and was acting very delerious and confused (and complaining of some chest pain). So Myra was telling me this story the other day about how a/the priest (this means he's Catholic) from her church was playing poker and gambling for money at some retreat thing she went on.
