i think i'm done with livejournal. perhaps i'll put a light update on here once in a while. but i'm going back to writing in a notebook.

happy st. david's day.

Last week was not very much fun at all. I came down with the flu really hard. It was definitely the most sick I've been in a while. The day when the illness was at it's peak I slept for 18 hours or so. Ended up just laying in bed day after day. Really rather boring. I did read a couple books which were quite good though. i'm playing the drums in front of people for the first time in 3 years. i'm excited and a little nervous and it doesn't help that my shoulder hurts. i really can't wait though. fun times.

I've spent most of the day thinking about physics...reading about the WZW model, instantons, and other such things....wrote an explanation for the motivation of string theory to an enquiring mind....
