I think you should prove your family wrong. You're really great at it. You read me like a freaking book from the other side of the country!! You have a gift for this kind of stuff. Every piece of advice that you've given me has given me that much less to worry about and to stress about. With my current boy situation, you're definitely right, I need to breathe. I need to live my life as I normally would and breathe. (As a side note: I wish you could talk to him and figure him out for me. But I think he may think that's a little weird. haha)
But you definitely have a talent for this. And I think it's something you should seriously consider pursuing.
I'll talk to him. And I'll talk to your girl friend, too.
I'm scared for her.
Thanks for answering :) If you were telling me what you thought I wanted to hear, PLEASE revise your answer. I'm about the alter the course of my life and could really use honest input from people. If I have an inflated ego about my talent, I'd like to know before I sink thousands of dollars into it :)
I absolutely think you should go back to school and study whatever you love. Passion is the only thing they can't teach you.
My only caution is that, in counseling, you will absolutely have to deal with "stupid people." No question. And not only deal with them, but gain their trust and respect, so that you can effectively help them. You'll deal with non-stupid people, too, of course. But you almost certainly won't be able to avoid the "stupid" ones, nor the ones who treat you like you're an idiot.
