Going on a trip in about 25 days. Need a couple of books to keep me busy during the flight and layover.
I like thriller, adventure, mystery, conspiracy, murder mystery, detective crime, suspense.

Lynne Flewelling. If you haven't read any of her books before, the Night Runner series is awesome! And even has a gay couple as the main protagonists (though they don't get together till I think the 2nd book). It's fantasy, but the adventures are unmistakably the main part of them! ;-)

I've spent the last year reading ALL of the Bosch books and the related stuff. It's predominantly all good, but for a thriller, check out The Poet which is the first Jack McEvoy book and you don't need to know the other characters in cannon.

I recommend Karen McManus' books: One of Us is Lying and the sequel One of Us in Next are superb, The Cousins has an excellent twist in it that you don't see coming.
Kara Thomas's books also have "I didn't see that one coming" twists in them--two books I recommend are That Weekend and The Darkest Corners
