My mother had another fall, on Sunday morning, and strained a muscle in her back which meant that she couldn't do much for herself for a while. My mother returned home from hospital on the 25th of January, after being kept there for a couple of days longer than had previously been forecast because she’d picked up a mild infection (which has responded satisfactorily to antibiotics), and is continuing to recover from her fall.
