It has been brought to my attention that there are people out in LJ land (and beyond) that are crushing on me.

I have all the feels! See, before I moved to Boston I never felt that attractive. Even now, more than two years after first coming to Boston, I still find it kind of surprising. Intellectually I know this is silly, but there you go.

I am very glad that you are hearing that people are crushing out on you. It's a wonderful feeling to be appreciated, especially when they are saying such nice and specific things about the reasons they are crushed out on you. I thought you were lovely to flirt with when I first met you and fully expect I will flirt with you again (and hope you will feel safe to do so as well), but am pretty certain you don't have time nor inclinations in my direction. Still, I wanted to say that your brain and what you do with it to make cool things...very very attractive.

I can't remember if I ever mentioned the "HI YOU'RE CUTE/ATTRACTIVE" thing or not. I'm mentioning it now.

I'm all for the hugs and cuddles and such (and such probably means flirting, although I suck at it and rarely recognize it). Also, I don't really see you nearly enough.

Alsoalso, I find it not silly to be surprised that people find you (generic you) to be attractive. I still am surprised by this, and I've been getting that reaction (the "you are attractive" one) for most of my life. Self-perceptions and other-perceptions are weird like that.

It's a very strange experience to learn that after years of thinking that one isn't all that attractive or interesting, people are thinking completely the opposite.

But "what passes for 'attractive' in the mainstream media we get crammed down our throats 24/7" and "what cranks one's tractor when it's in front of one" are not necessarily the same thing. There are lots of different factors to 'atttractive.'
