Rebus sic stantibus

At the end of every semester at the law school I enact a simple ritual which pretty much evolved on its own. After I take each final exam, I come home and place all the readings for that particular subject in a recycle pile in the corner of my room. Cases/handouts/digests, all the miscellaneous detritus of academic learning, are dumped with loving ( Read more... )

You and me both. Although I keep some most of it if not all in the vain hope of eventually taking the bar and going through them again which I don't think I will if I do take the bar.

It's so you though, how you made that point in the end with the case readings. I hate you now! Here I am writing about gilmore girls, wanting a glimmer of insight to come into my failing mind and you just go ahead and do it... I guess that's the difference between dreamers and doers huh? We always end up with nothing concrete to hold on to.

I miss you. And I miss this. I miss college and I miss lit and everything that comes with it. *sigh*

Ain't nothing wrong with Gilmore Girls, Rory's hot. Although I heard the dialogue hasn't been so good ever since Amy Sherman-Palladino and her husband left the show.

Poker tayo during sem break, after your Singapore-Thailand "expedition" (hehe for lack of a better word). You can demonstrate to Gizmo how bad he is at bluffing, or vice-versa =P

TC on your trip Dan!

Amy Sherman-Palladino and her husband were still in the show until the 6th season. It's the 7th season now, I'm just not sure if they're still in it. :-p

Yes. Go Poker! :D Just tell me when. ;)

Thanks Ant!

fuck rory (if you want) i heart her mom man!

this is a gay conversation by the way. i heart you guys too!

game on poker! i need some milk money cause my computer is bad wrong. do it!

I place my fears and doubts in a corner of my room, where they wait to be sent to a junkshop to be recycled and reformed into better, more useful things.
useful things? wouldn't they just come back as newer fears and doubts? they can be motivation too. just like what ever comes out of my assmouth can be wisdom too. just not this post.

From the classes of Sir Max I kept a plethora of readings... mauve_boudoir October 18 2006, 00:58:04 UTC
yeah, i keep a Pulan stash as well... and even Tinio's 3rd World Lit...

wish sometimes I could neatly package some students - and brick up that package - and never return.

haha Actually I kept nothing from Tinio's classes. So I guess even for the lit subjects there were some readings I just chucked out the window.

Teacher angst, inuman tayo during sem break para malabas mo ;)

i am elated to have been cited for my class scribbles. it reminds me of economics class which was one of the worst subjects i had to take, but most enjoyable because i saw how evil you could be! you are a wolf in sheep's clothing.

are you not scared that you will need your law junk in the future?

The case did not record if A and B remained friends after that. you search for the human aspect of a cold discipline. humanities ang trip mo, kung ganun. (eww, nagpapaka-profound ako.)

That dude ranks as the worst prof I ever had. And he remains to this day the only who has gotten mad at me for "smirking" (may pagka-Miriam pala yung Wally na yan). I don't smirk! haha And I'm not evil! You're the one who came up with the codename for the classmate who kept dozing off in class ;)

Not too worried about the loss of the cases, they really give us so many that it would be impossible (at least for me) to go through them all again (read: tamad ako). I keep the books though.

But the law need not be cold! I'm still trying to find the warmth though.

i should think of doing the same thing... my mother is worried i'd be buried under an avalanche of my own books (fiction and medical textbooks)... or maybe the mountain of clutter that can barely be called a bedroom will spontaneously combust. O_o;;

hallo antonski... apparently my brother's girlfriend is one of your upperclassmen, cecily ramirez. ^_^

Hi Kai :)

Burn the medbooks, keep the fiction.

hehe Since she's older, ask her if the whole postgrad thing is worth it. =P
