Requiem-Chris: I Remember Slavery

"Slavery? You want to talk about slavery? I remember slavery, chum."

The whip bit deep in to his back, sending his frame forward against the wood. Undead muscle and thick bone collided with wood reinforced by steel and designed to hold him tight. He bit deep in to the leather gag in his mouth and felt his fangs extend, slipping through the wood in ( Read more... )

Oh, definite potential for ties with Micola here. Timeline isn't quite as perfect as it could be (the ideal timeline would be early 1800s) but still workable. Ping me next time we cross paths on IRC.

Definitely some ties with Adam here. Adam believes very strongly in individual strength and will. He believes each link in the chain needs to be as strong as possible for the betterment of the collective. He's looking to be this kind of nietzschean apex predator, but that is a journey he looks to bring others along on. He wants a Movement of Supermen. A revolutionary ideal that is as inevitable and unstoppable as progress itself.

Adam is very much in touch with his Gangrel side. But he is *very* disciplined about it. I think we could probably have a fun RP dynamic off of that alone...

If you want to do a Carthian who has been around that long, I'm also going to suggest you tie to Thomas Kent. Kent is (now that Liberty is retired) the only active PC with approved ties to De Graaf and the founding members of the Movement. Something of an elder statesman. I can help set that up for you if you're not familiar with Trigger.

Awesome. How young is Adam? The easiest way to explain a PC just jumping in to the chronicle, I've found, is to give them a recent wake-up from torpor. If Adam isn't that old, maybe we can set up a scenario whereby they'll RP in chronicle?

As to Kent/Trigger, I think I've come about >this close< to interacting with the dude, but we've never really synced up to any real degree, so if you feel like helping with that I'd be in your debt.

Adam was embraced in 1978. Been a Carthian since 1990.

I'll be happy to make the introduction to Trigg for you.

Hmmm. Then it looks likely that a tie will be difficult, as I was going to have Chris in Torp for all of that. Maybe the best course would be to simply let the RP happen in Chron, and see where it goes? I plan on being fairly list-active.

And... awesome. Thanks, Kevin.

You've seen how I play Evengii. How would you like in? :)

Anything pop off as being particularly fitting? I'll call you before too long and we can jaw on it some, but does anything jump out at you? I know Evengii's public face, and your most recent entry gave me some insight in to him. How might he have interacted with Chris?

Hell, Russia isn't *so* different from England. :-P

Hmmmmmm. I see some serious potential, here. I'm going to friend my Requiem LJ for Cynric to this journal, if you don't mind. I've got some thoughts for a background tie that is simultaneously both friendly and philosophically diametrically opposed to Chris'.

Awesome. Awesome, awesome, awesome. How do you see a tie? Want to talk about it here or in Gtalk or what? I've enjoyed what I've seen with Abaddon, so any venue where I can shoot the shit with you is a better venue for it.

I just created a brand new, unaligned but Carthian leaning Scots Gangrel, actually. May be my first Age Approval ever. (Born in the 1100s) He's a wanderer and a bard and a storyteller.

Could be a sire, he could easily have lost him somewhere in Russia/England/wherever.

If you're looking for more information, let me know, call or whatever and we can talk.
