I can't believe some people.. I'm sick of everyone cheering because that...man is dead. People are getting out of hand. I've seen people post "Revenge at Last" magazine covers on 9/11 memorials! I'm not usually an angry person, but this is really upsetting me. The coverage is bringing back bad memories for everyone, and it's really for no good ( Read more... )

Obviously this really isn't my place to comment, but I agree with you. Posting revenge magazines on the memorials? That's disgusting.

I don't usually rant like this, and I feel bad for doing it, but...I needed to say it somewhere...

Don't feel bad. If you can't vent on a blog where can you vent?

I guess it's ok, since I'm venting about something important...

It makes me want to curl up in my bed and cry.

I'm sorry for her loss. Terrible way to go.

I'm not in America so I don't see everything you're talking about, but that revenge stuff sounds disgusting. Don't they realize he's being made a martyr and their actions are encouraging his followers in their beliefs that America is out to destroy them?

Her family is proud of him. They're very traditional and although it was horrible, they believe he died well considering what happened. I don't know if you know but...they fought back, and stopped the plane from reaching it's target. They believe he was one of the ones who fought back.

I don't know... I'm sure some people know, but the rest seem so set on revenge. It scares me a little.

Ah. I didn't know, actually. I don't follow American news any more than you guys probably follow all the terrorism that happens in Russia on a regular basis. It's good they fought back, though.

People do crazy things when acting as a mass consciousness rather than individuals, no matter what country they're in.

(OOC: Terrorism occurs in Russia pretty regularly. There was an attack in Domodedovo international airport this year, 4 bombings last year and a shooting at the Chechen parliament last year, and so on. He thinks the US has it easy, he's just not going to say it.)

I had thought so, which is why I explained a little.

I guess... I wish it wasn't true.

(OOC: D: Man that's crazy. I knew other countries had more things like this (I've heard Northern Ireland and England have quite a few, or had? but wow. )

It never should be. The media hypes it up so much though, I can't put the blame entirely on the people/
