At CWU there is a mandatory fee to pay for student health. They have a clinic on campus and it is free for students. They pay for labs and prescriptions at cost. Since we are an hour and a half away from the kids, this was a relief to me ( Read more... )

We needed to go to Moses Lake the other day for a part for our bathtub, and decided to go to the bread store afterwards. We pull into the bread store and across the street is the ford Dealership. Last week was a mess weather wise. Wednesday we got another six inches of snow and school was canceled. Thursday we had freezing rain and school was canceled again. Then it went from really low temps of 8 degrees at night and 15 degrees during the day to suddenly warming up to 40 degrees. I recently read some advice about writing. I love to write short stories and have several started, but undeveloped. The advice was to just write 300 words a day. By the end of the year that is over 100,000 words and the size of a 300 page novel. I KNOW I can easily write 300 words a day, so it seems easily attainable instead of an impossible goal ( Read more... )

Water was restored the very next day. Of course it started to snow and blow like hell before they could finish it up. The replaced everything and upgraded our system. He replumbed and rewired everything and it is so much nicer in the pump house now ( Read more... )

Recently, our well water had not been as clear. This is quite unusual for us. I first thought it might have something to do with warm weather and muddy runoff, but it didn't get better.
