I went looking for that test and it told me it had been removed. booooooo.
Have you ever thought about joining asperger? (My best friend's son is an aspie, so I know it's a pretty active community) Even without an official diagnosis, which you may or may not feel the need to ever get, since it sounds like you've developed your own coping mechanisms really well, just the support and feeling that people out there "get it" might help? I know I've seen some posts about relationships on there recently too.
I think a forum like that would be helpful, if only to talk to other people who think and process the same way. Part of the revelation is that I'm not just weird, or not trying hard enough, so it's a relief in a way.

As I recall, I did some sort of test like that and hit really borderline - probably like a 31 or something, in this context. Anyway, I don't see myself as having a problem, per se. I'm socially functional. I just don't require as much extroverted socializing as most people do. The thing is, I don't believe that everything in the human psyche is pathology. People just are what they are. Psychology is a borderline pseudo-science that in many ways is very close to voo-doo and witchdoctor-y. Unless you are dysfunctionally (another nonesuch term) broken and need assistance to get through daily life then you just are what you are. There's nothing particularly wrong. You're just not in the same group with the majority of the "statistically normal" people.

I agree that psychology is borderline voo-doo. I've met people who felt they've had as much help from metaphysical Channelers and spirit guides as from psychologists -- and the bottom line is that it all works if you think it does, especially if you feel someone is listening. For the truly broken, I can't say what works.
