I'm right there with you on the "no desire to get married" thing on a personal level, but I also recognize that the legal ramifications of the trial could be huge. (Personally, I want all legal marriages (i.e. what lets you check the "married" box on a government form) to be called "civil unions" and the work "marriage" to be reserved for religious ceremonies, but the US ain't gonna change its nomenclature just because I said so.)

I also hope for an outcome in our favor, but I'm just not holding my breath like so many of my peers. Maybe it's because I have such little regard for the institution of marriage.
