Menolly's not one to sit still and wait, and the words she'd heard the day before had spurred her into action. Dressed in her heavy leathers and armed with multiple knives, she slipped into the streets near Oh Aces, wanting to see if anyone needed her help getting into the safety of the protected building.

[Umi had already claimed what --ten, eleven or so victims? Yes, she was keeping count. She needed to report to her General later, and in any case their Tormentors down at the Fifth Circle appreciated a detailed account of what sheep they dragged into the Pit.

...Hey! Dragon girl, right? [She waved cheerfully from where she stood, right across the street from the other girl.] Looks like you're in a hurry!

[Ever the cautious soul, Menolly called out a soft greeting, but didn't move any closer. Not with the way things were going in the City at the moment. As it was, she kept moving, one hand casually resting on the hilt of one of her knives.]

A bit, yes.

And why's that? I doubt whoever or whatever you're going to see can't wait a couple more minutes.

[It was all the more amusing to play with them a little before pouncing, Umi'd found. So she fell into step after Menolly, playing the social butterfly. There was no telling if the other girl could sense her fell aura, but Umi was about to find out.]

[One of her colorful dragons popped into the air near her head, it's gaze a livid red as it stared back at Umi. A moment later, the air was full of little dragons, all circled protectively around Menolly, and all ten hissing back at the other girl.]
