CHOICE CROSSOVER COUPLE

I think we've nominated enough; which takes us to the next category: Choice Crossover Couple.

One of the few categories we can't nominate ourselves for.

But we can nominate that threesome of witchmaker, immortalmistake, and buckingbronco.

Can we? It does say 'couple.'

Ah, but using the term loosely, couple can mean more than two. Such as 'I am taking a couple'. No one ever takes two. They take three to five.

Which would be more accurately be 'a few' to 'several.' Such lazy speech!

Indeed, but I feel like nominating them, so I shall allow my speech to be lax for that reason only.

I'll accept that from you, of course, Self.

Hmm, who else? I know we know of a few, but I'm trying to think of ones I like.

The downside to disliking so many people.

I'd nominate didorothy and chansondelamort again, but I'm really getting tired of nominating them for things.

I agree! So sad we just don't care about most people. I do hear galeforcehero is entertaining the affections of both rude_not_ginger and perfect_shoes.

I think this means we really ought to find a few choice 'friends'. There has to be someone we'd like.

I like you and Mr Hunt! Well, I like you with Mr Hunt.

As do I! He really needs to stop resisting - he knows he's fond of me, he just needs to admit it.

His repression goes deep.

Ah, well. theguv's mun ships it, and we do occasionally have out of continuity moments...

All things in time, Self.

I can be patient. Current plans are a vague 'next year'.

It's a broad enough gap, I feel.

It gives me time to convince him.

Do you plan to attack him or his city? Just because it would be awfully nice to, after what his DI did, but I don't know how conducive that would be to getting him in bed.

Not currently, no. While it might be tempting, I think I might take a bit of a break to think.

CHOICE FEMALE/MALE COUPLE

Good. I would hate to see you overwork yourself. And, let's see... the next categories are divided into genders. How delightfully archaic. Who is our Choice Heteronormative couple?

Following the trend of nominating you for every flattering category, I nominate you with your lovely wife, shatteredqueen.

Oh, Self. Then, in a twist that will bring outrage everywhere, I will nominate you and brigadiertardis, though the machine's gender is up to debate.

She identifies as female, and one third of the time is one, so I feel it counts - though now I expect a horde of angry Doctors taking on their most 'intimidating' tone of voice then demand to know what I did, exactly.

That will be entertaining. I do hope they don't disappoint.

Now... who else shows off startling displays of heterosexuality? I suppose there's always rude_not_ginger and ambitious_woman again...

Nahh; he's still not good enough for her. Hm... laser_not_sonic and jen_anomaly? They do have a thing going on, somewhere.

Yes, a bit of a fling at sixwordstories, isn't it? I think they've done a bit at the adult version as well.

Oooh, well then. They count! No matter how much it may be a perversion of all that is good and right in the world.

Then again, we do enjoy perverting goodness and righteousness.

Of course. You know, I hear timewill_tell and aces_are_rare are together. Though I prefer not to think about it. So I suppose we'd best not nominate them.

I don't know if it's me reading between the lines, but I do think aces_are_rare has a thing for you.

She most certainly does! "Toerag" is how she says 'I love you.' Or, rather, 'I hate you, yet find you oddly irresistible.'

Then regardless of whether or not either of you have shagged, I feel I ought to nominate the two of you as a couple. If anything, her reaction will be most amusing.

It will be fun. Now, let's see, let's see.... Any other women for you lately, Self?

Unfortunately, no. Which means there are significantly less people worth nominating. And yourself?

Not really, no. I mean - well, let's just let it drop.

CHOICE MALE/MALE COUPLE

You can tell me later, if you like, but until then... I'll move on to the next category, 'Choice Male/Male Couple'.

Us, of course. Yourself and broken_clock. Yourself and theguv.

Yourself and salvagestime. Also yourself and rude_not_ginger. You do, after all, get into a fair share of fights with him - and we know fighting is really just sexual tension.

It is my goal to punch every Doctor I meet at least once, which would be facilitated through the earlier category.

Well, that category was rather easy; we've already gotten all five nominations.

CHOICE FEMALE/FEMALE COUPLE

On to the lesbians, then. Or rather, the 'sapphic' category. I prefer that word for it. Less common and, I think, more pleasant to the ears.

I think this might be a difficult category - you don't see that many women dating other women in games, which is surprising, really.

Even though so many of the ladies I know are far more engaging than the men.

I know dameluckypants and brigadiertardis had a bit of a minor, drunken thing, but it didn't go too far.

And I think galeforcehero fancies ambitious_woman just a bit.

...We really do need to meet more women - I honestly can't think of anyone else. Anywhere.

There really ought to be more. Perhaps we should make an advertisement.

"We're looking for two (or more) attractive young ladies to engage in romantic relationships with each other. If interested, please form a line on the left"?

You're right, that's too capitalistic. Maybe another public service announcement, then.

Then it's just a case of us informing everyone that there aren't enough homosexual women.

There aren't enough women, regardless of orientation. This appears to be a rather male-dominated playing field.

Well, there is also the fact that most fandoms have mostly male casts.

The subtleties of sexism in modern fiction are certainly present. Most female characters are relegated to secondary positions.

And ones that are in main roles, ones supposed to be depicted as 'strong' frequently wear very little clothing and could easily be called slutty.

And then, of course, there's the habit of, uh, what's that comic-book termninology? Ahh, yes, 'fridging' female characters. Dying only to give male characters motivation.

Ahhh, the stereotypes of women. The femme fatales and the ice queens. They'll get over it one day.

I'd like to point back up to the 'damsel in distress' category earlier.

Though we did nominate all men for it.

That's because we're not sexist. Despite certain canonical evidence which may indicate otherwise. Really, do you think anyone who grew up around the Rani could be sexist and live to tell the tale?

No, most definitely not. And I choose to ignore that canonical evidence. Really, we have more sense than to consider women beneath us. If anyone is beneath us, it is because they're not worth our time.

Exactly! We don't think one particular sex, of the several hundred sexes we have encountered, are inferior; we know that everyone is inferior. It's a very equal opportunity sort of thing.

I think they just wanted to make us loathsome in every way possible.

They did a terrible job of it; Roger Delgado is charming, and despite certain... moments, our incarnations were lovely as well.

They really should have thought about what motivations we do have instead of going 'we must make him EVIL'.

Unfortunately, that only meant a great deal of inconsistent character issues.

Well, the whole show is plagued with that, for the most part.

It wasn't always so overbearing with that, though. ...I still don't know why we dressed up in Time-Flight. It really was just for fun, wasn't it?

Yes, it was. This is why my motivation has been often described as 'for lulz' or 'I feel like being a dick today'; I have no real logical reason for most of the things I do.

Aside from being 'evil,' a term which is very casually thrown about.

It's a very easy way to write off things.

Explaining why the Doctor likes to use it.

He'd have a crisis of morality if he tried to see things from the opposite side. If it were even possible for him to see it another way, that is.

I'm sure it can be done. We've made efforts in that regards, after all. We're done, though, aren't we?

Yes, we are. We've gone through all the categories we decided to do. And had a bit of talking afterwards, but no harm done.

I guess that means it's time for us to say goodbye, so that the players can get to editing this.

Everyone had better nominate us.

Or else we'll kill them! And they shouldn't think they can get away with the whole 'secret ballot' thing. We'll find out.
