Years of evolution my friend! We're trained to protect them, and be their guardians. Then feminism came along and they said it's a social disease, but really it's probably more biological than anything else. My theory anyway.
The only women Im attracted to are the ones who make me feel like myself. And I really havent met one like that yet.
OT but uh, Im looking to becoming fit. Do you have any websites I can take a look at or general info you can share about diet and exercise? Im thinking cardiovascular here, so the dominant focus i think will be on running (in place). But I need to tone my stomach, and Im giving preference to my stomach muscles as uh, I hear its best to start there since thats where all your central weight is anyway.
k Ill let you in on a fitness secret.. . "toning" doesnt exist.. . you can either lose fat or gain muscle both which will help to make you look better if done correctly. ..
if you want to work the abs (something I never do directly) you can just do a million situps at home (boring) but its better to let them do their job of stabilising the core by putting a heavy load on your spine.. . squats and deadlifts will work your abs and obliques while also working your legs and back and shoulders. ..
if you want optimal progress stay away from "isolation" exercises and get into compound lifts that work more than one muscle group at a time.. . squats, deadlifts, bench press, rows (either cables or barbell) should be the core of your workout.. . you dont really need any more than that to begin with. ..
Well I don't want to be like a diehard body builder here. I just want to stay in shape. I guess I'd like to build muscle, but not too much. Maybe just keep at the lighter weights and do more sets? Are there any other exercises that specifically target the abs? Obviously I want to be well rounded but I hear that's where you should start. It makes sense to me, anyway.
I guess I'd like to build muscle, but not too much.dont worry about it.. . unless your specifically eating for muscle growth your not going to see any large increases in size.. . you body however will favour muscle over fat so you may lose a few lbs of fat and replace them with a few lbs of muscle.. . youll probably weigh the same or slightly less than you do now
( ... )
The trick (and I'm speaking from experience here) is to accept both her strength and weakness AND to see each clearly -- IOW, know when she needs protecting, and when you need to stay out of the way. Being tuned in to her perceptions is a big part of that.
So, what you're looking for is the middle path between macho oldtime asshole and sensitive newage pussy. ;)

http://www.exrx.net/Lists/Directory.html is a good site that shows you different exercises for different muscle groups. ..
