Today: Abundant sunshine. Near record high temperatures. Heat index near 120F. High 104F. Winds W at 10 to 20 mph.

So today I went to Coney Island and watched the hot dog eating contest. As lame as it sounds, it was pretty amazing. The dude beat the world record by 1/4 of a hot dog. Although today wasn't condusive to shooting with alllllllllllll the gross, sweaty people everywhere, I will go back and shoot some actual pictures soon. I did, however, witness ( Read more... )

So my first week of grad school is complete. I quit my job today because there's no way I can get all my shit done and get to galleries to view work and hold down a job. So, loans for now. It was a rocky journey with an exciting end. We're finally here and settled in. I'm happy to say NY already feels like home, although I really wish I could have brought more of home with me.
