Nice, I love the part where, he explains it to Mai and not Ayako :p was that in the anime/manga? I can't seem to recall...

I don't think that was in the anime or the manga, actually. It would've been a really cute scene in the anime if it were animated..

I think it's interesting that Naru called her Masako when he was explaining to Mai, but he only calls her Hara-san to her face.
Though I guess I could be wrong about that.

When I was translating that part, I was like, What?! I checked the Japanese version and he really does use Masako and not Hara-san there.

So yeah, that took me by surprise too ^^;

The little "larva" fingers all around the well, that was so much creepier than the manga. I loved this chapter.

This has been bugging me a bit. The conversation between Ayami-chan and Mai at the end:

"Then, Mai-chan, when are you coming back?"

Shouldn't it be ...

"Then, Mai-oneesan, when are you leaving?" (according to the Chinese version)

First of all, Ayami shouldn't be calling Mai, Mai-chan right, but Mai-oneesan? And when are you leaving, which is tomorrow will be more appropriate as she'll then be able to stay overnight tonight.

Yeah, that does make more sense. I'll change that.

Ayami really does call Mai, "Mai-chan" though. See:

「麻衣ちゃん、かえっちゃうの?」

Heh ... Ayami calls Mai 'Mai-chan'. So cute. She must have felt that Mai is like her 'in age'. Do you have the Japanese version of the novels?
