GhostH. V3, Ch2: p5

Dec 20, 2008 16:47

Most of this section is only found in the novel. It's mostly more speculation on what's going on in the school. I'm not sure if I translated Naru's science talk right though.

Volume 2, ch 3, part 5: Psychic )

vol 3, ghost hunt

Hey, good job on translating again. It's hard work but you did a good job! :D

..F-f-f-f-f-favor?! Naru wants a favor from meeeee?! I can actually imagine what Mai feels at this moment.

…My poor brain was not excited. This is my favourite quote. XD

I actually want to see the scene where Mai witnessed Naru looking like his real age. I don't know if it's in the anime/manga, if so, I think I missed it.

That scene is in both the anime and the manga. It's cute, but short. I only noticed that when I watched the anime for the 2nd time.

Thanks for translating this. ^^

My favorite line was Mai's commentary regarding Bou-san and Ayako.

'Inside, Ayako and Bou-san were in the middle of a lover's quarrel.

“Why are you so incapable and useless?” asked Bou-san.

“How am I useless!”

As usual, their relationship seemed good'

Mai is much snarkier in the novels, I suppose because we get to know her thoughts. xD
I love snarky Mai.

As others have said, thanks for translating this. ^__^ I can't wait until you get to the novel talking about Yasuhara's school. I'd love to see Mai's thoughts on him, especially when he pretends to hit on Bou-san.

Can I add you to my friend list to see when you update?

(I'm repeating the same thing sorry ^^") This novel is wonderful, I hope editors will wake-up and will decide to get the license soon -.-" these stupid men, try to understand that japan is'nt only naruto and ecchi.

Good luck,I'm supporting you ^^

I'm glad you're enjoying it, and your english is quite good, don't worry about it.

I know Tokyopop is translating Ono's other novel, so maybe they'll pick up Ghost Hunt..

This is great. I searched and searched for the novels in English ever since I found out about them, so after I finished watching all of the anime, and couldn't find them anywhere. So thanks a bunch. :)
I noticed that it is difficult to tell who is talking at parts, for example in this part:
"“These extremely strong spirits are very lucky now. Tomorrow, if that girl calms down, you can ask her questions again.”"
Who said it? At first I thought Naru, but he is talking in the next part and dismisses this idea. I would not normally be worried about this, but I have a hard time following the story this way. If it is simply because of the way it is written in the Japanese then don't worry.
Anyways, Thanks so much for this <3

Most of the time the author doesn't exactly say who says what... Sometimes I add that part, but if I'm really not sure who said it then I leave it blank.
