I don't really write very much about my day to day here. Rather, I write about the excruciating minutiae of my life, but I don't mention the larger things that often.
It's almost the same as slash; it's usually used to describe stories with sexual interaction between two men (whereas shonen-ai is used to indicate romantic content). Didn't realize I'd inadvertently used jargon - thanks for asking.
My foray into anime as a genre are of fairly recent origin and mostly consist of me watching various things my friends Spidey and Cowboy recommend, but not really any of the ancillary subcultures (sexual or non...) :)
I thought of it because I read something in my friendslist that surprised me; I didn't know that my friend had a certain job, and we've been friends for a long, long time.
I know! Baby me! I think that's the bit that most people forget about. I like to pretend that it means I'm mature, but I know it's just the magic of the internet. :]
I should probably do something like this, since I rarely if ever talk about me-in-rl stuff. But fandom is the place I go to frolic, basically, and obsess on stuff that I have no local community for. So, I'll just content myself with blathering on about Rodney and Spencer and the other people who yammer in my imagination. But! If you ever want to know stuff about me, just ask, 'cause I'll tell. I'll say this: #5, #6, #10, #11, and #12 are true statements for me as well. I'm also very liberal, which, duh, and also? Like cats. But then that's your basic fandom foodgroup right there. Oh, and of course queer/bi what-have-you. (Which almost feels redundant, but.)
I was thinking mostly that I should write something a bit more introductory than what I have in my profile (since I am working on locking my whole journal). I'm thinking that I'll eventually postdate this so that it's at the top of my journal.
It's interesting to see who does what kind of discussion on LJ, and why. This journal was originally sort of a fandom frolic for me, but I started making friends from non-fandom, and it affected the way I viewed the journal.
I may ask you questions out of the blue, since you sound like you'll be amenable to answering. Sometimes I just wonder. As you do, y'know.
I think being liberal and liking cats (or at least not hollering too loudly about not liking them) is a requirement for my friendslist. Or those conservative cat-haters know better than to make me cranky. Either way I'm content.
Ask away, because I am. Amenable, I mean, and also I do know because I wonder a lot.
[I think being liberal and liking cats (or at least not hollering too loudly about not liking them) is a requirement for my friendslist] My flist, too, kind of "we're here, we're queer-ish, and we like cats. !" Maybe I need a better rallying cry.

You're so young! I didn't realize it, because of the whole teaching thing - I thought you were older. But you're just a baby!
