Also, I think it's certainly true that repeated exposure (no pun intended) to germs and illness and things-that-other-people-call-icky is bound to affect your perspective. It may make you absolutely not want it anywhere in your environment, for example, or it may build up your tolerance for and understanding of it. I'm in the latter camp myself. If it comes out of the human body I've probably had to clean it up. Oh gods. Was that TMI?
