Odessa got sick, fast. Within two days, she was gone. Kidney failure sucks. It's not fair that any creature can be poisoned by food. Augen knows this all too well ( Read more... )

He is so farkin' cute. You really do need to meet him. When he's all better and a little bigger/housebroken, he'll need to go to BN.

So sorry to hear about Odessa! That's awful. The silver lining, is, obviously, that you have given another lost dog a new (wonderful) home. I like the name Hermes. I expect that when he's healthier he'll start really living up to that. :)

So glad he's been properly diagnosed now and can start getting better.

Next question is, of course, how "possibly husky" gets labelled "retriever/terrier mix." Pretty drastically different, there!

I think it was his coloration. He's kind of Elaaga colored, that golden cream. And it was the arch of his neck and the shape of his legs that made me think differently. He's a real beauty, and so alert. He watched me bake pumpkin pie last night, so I had to tell him what I wwas doing, step by step. Showed him each ingredient too. His favorite was the milk in a can.
